Mrs Dedimuni Dasawathie Mendis is the beloved mother of Bhante Samitha. She was a mother of four children and lived 80 years. She passed away on Wednesday 02nd March 2016 and funeral was held on Saturday 05th March 2016 at her residence "Lakmali House" Senerath Mawatha, Akurala Kahawa Sri Lanka. May she attain Supreme bliss of Nibbana

A Sad News of a Great Loss..!

Beloved Mother of Bhante Samitha passed away peacefully

on Wednesday 02nd March in Sri Lanka.

Venerable Samitha travelled immediately to Sri Lanka and conducted all Funeral rights on Saturday 05th and 7th Day Dana ceremony merits transference on Tuesday 08th.

After that Venerable Samitha came back to UK on Thursday night. We all are greatly touched with everyone’s messages, donations, numerous help and thoughtfulness to keep us strong at this very difficult emotional time. Many of our friends attended the funeral, many of our friends send their relatives and we were really honoured. Thank you all so much.

Venerable Samitha and all at Dhamma Nikethanaya Buddhist Centre are really grateful to all.

We thank you so much for you all. We are hoping to host 3rd Month Commemoration Sunday 04th June in Letchworth. Please keep the day free.

May She Attain Supreme Bliss of Nibbana..! Lasting Peace..!

Beloved Wife of Mr Siripala De Silva. Loving Mother of Susantha Chandralal De Silva (Son), Lakmali Iresha De Silva (Daughter), Ajantha Prethilal De Silva (Son) and Venerable Akurala Samitha (Bhante Samitha)

It is with great sadness, we share the condolences of passing away of a great mother, Mrs Dedimuni Dasawathie Mendis in Sri Lanka. She had four children and youngest is the Venerable Akurala Samitha (Bhante Samitha).

Funeral was held in Sri Lanka at her residence on Saturday 05^th March with our 80 monks participation and 6^th Day Dhamma Sermon ceremony was held on Monday 7^th with the participation of Most Venerable Wennawatthe Rathanajothi Maha Thero and 7^th Day Dana Ceremony was help with the participation of 30 monks at her residence.

Third Month Commemoration Ceremony will be held on Sunday 04^th June at Letchworth Dhamma Nikethanaya. Please accept this as a personal invitation to you, to be with us to perform this spiritual blessings and merits transference at the third months to our beloved mother.

Venerable Akurala Samitha (Bhante Samitha) is very grateful to all Venerable Monks, Devotees, Members of the Centre and Friends who share their thoughtful blessings with Venerable Samitha and family at this very difficult time. We wish to share our gratitude to thosewho send messages, flowers, donations, and make much hardships to visit the house travelling from far distance. Words cannot express how much it means to us. May those be a blessings to all.
