Members and well-wishes of Letchworth Dhamma Nikethanaya attended to the annual transference of merits and protective discourses great chanting (maha pirith) on new year's eve 31st December 2011 and also to the New Year Day Special Pooja on 01st January 2012.
Year 2011 was a very productive and wholesome year to Letchworth Dhamma Nikethanaya Buddhist Centre. We appreciate the continuous support of our members and the well-wishers that enabled us to proceed from strength to strength with High Official Royal Visits to acknowledge and appreciate our noble services to the community.
Venerable Akurala Samitha invoked the blessings to all for helping to have a very successful year 2011 and shared the merits with gratitude. Letchworth Dhamma Nikethanaya Buddhist Centre delightfully wishes everyone a very happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year 2012 with a special Green Message.
We and every part of the universe including humankind, animal, landscape and nature are one and sacred. If we harm or spoil any tiny particle of this interconnected universe we harm or spoil ourselves.
One who determines to purify the heart by eradicating harmful thoughts and cultivating noble respect and boundless love to humankind, animal, landscape and nature, follows all the happiness, security, prosperity and well-being.
May this heart of respect and boundless love pervade the whole world above, below and across, with no obstruction, no hatred and no enmity.

Let those who are in misery, Be free from misery
Let those who are in fear, Agony and insecurity,

And let all living beings,
Be free from misery, fear and sorrow.
May no fear affect any one! May no illnesses afflict any one! May no dangers come any one’s way! May every one enjoy good health and prosperity all trough out the New Year 2012 and all the time!
May all your wholesome deeds help you to develop perfections (parami) and generate your bodhi mind towards the Bliss of ever Lasting Happiness Nibbana! May all the devas (divine beings) protect you and all in your family!
Just as the soft rains fill the streams,
pour into the rivers and join together in the oceans,
so may the power of every moment of your goodness
flow forth to awaken and heal all beings,
Those here now, those gone before, those yet to come.

May your heart's wishes be soon fulfilled
as completely shining as the bright full moon,
